Projects > COGNOIS: acquisition and image synchronization

Acquisition and synchronization are the basic stages of the COGNOIS project. Acquisition is done independently of the treatment by the double buffering method on two levels to allow online processing of grabbed images.

The synchronization method counts two parts. The coordination of the treatments is ensured by an external circuit and the synchronization of the image identifiers is based on the local time on each computer, assisted by a software barrier established by the network. Therefore, synchronization has a great probability of being correct in any time in spite of the limits of the operating system.
